I am delighted and proud to welcome you to Padgate Academy. We are a fully inclusive secondary academy in North Warrington.
The school benefits from being part of The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT). At Padgate we are unswervingly committed to serving the local community through provision of a first-class education for all students. We are also committed to providing all students at the academy with a rich and ambitious curriculum offer enabling them to acquire the high-level knowledge that allows them to be successful during their time at the academy, as well as prepared to meet the demands of what comes next.
During the time students are at the academy, they are also able to supplement the rich academic curriculum with opportunities to develop their creativity, character, and leadership. We believe that these aspects of education are fundamental to developing the knowledge, skills, and aptitudes necessary to enable them to thrive. These aspects of school life are brought together in our CAS programme (creativity, activity, and society) which provides opportunities for student leadership, enrichment, and expression, and enables them to make a positive contribution to society beyond the classroom.
A as school we also believe in the importance of our students demonstrating good manners, showing respect, and demonstrating kindness in all they do. Students are also expected to always have a positive attitude to their learning. These things underpin our school culture and ethos and are celebrated as part of our comprehensive rewards system. We are proud of our caring pastoral support and want all students to feel happy, safe, and supported during their time here.
Visitors to the school often comment on the positive relationships at the school as well as the warm and supportive learning environment. All these aspects of school life are encapsulated in our school motto ‘Proud to be Padgate’.
Thank you for your continued support.

I am a true believer that education undoubtedly enhances life chances and have always strived for the best for all students, both as a maths teacher and as a school leader.
This motivation for wanting all students to succeed on their educational journey is what excites me about working at Padgate Academy. I strongly believe a curriculum should be challenging yet accessible for all.
In my previous role as Head of maths and then Assistant Principal, I was part of the team which rapidly improved the school on its journey to Outstanding.
Having developed one of the most successful maths departments in Cheshire I am excited to bring this experience to Padgate Academy.
I am committed to ensuring all our students receive a first-class education and will always strive for the best outcomes for them. I enjoy researching and initiating innovative strategies that will enable our students to be equipped for a positive future.

As a long serving and dedicated teacher at Padgate, I have spent almost ten years teaching and supporting the students of our local community. During this time, I have worked relentlessly to ensure our students have the best education possible and are guided to pursue their aspirations.
I believe that our students deserve to learn within a high achieving and caring environment with opportunities to receive an outstanding and well-rounded education. Where they are set high expectations that challenge and motivate them to become the best they can be.
As Director of Studies and the Teaching and Learning lead at the school, I am building upon many of our current strengths and successes as part of the continuous drive to improve standards. My commitment to supporting education for all, empowers me to continue to work diligently to ensure the students at Padgate receive the ‘First Class’ education that they deserve.
I started my teaching career at Padgate as teacher of Geography in 2011, where I advanced into middle leadership as Head of Department for Geography, then Humanities and most recently as Director of Studies for – Ebacc (Science/Humanities/Modern Languages) and a member of SLT in 2020.
Outside of school I spend most of my time with my young family, as well as working to support the Warrington community as a school Governor at a local primary school.

As a member of the Padgate community, I am passionate about supporting each and every one of our students to achieve excellent outcomes.
With a teaching career that has lasted over 20 years in four very different schools, I have a wealth of experience in teaching young people how to navigate the world around them.
My Masters’ degree in Psychology of Education has helped me to understand why people behave the way they do and how we can support our students who have complex needs to overcome their barriers.
I love teaching English and I am continuously impressed by the intelligent insight our students show when tackling a difficult text or creating a piece of beautiful writing.
Every young person deserves to leave school with the ability to communicate with confidence to the outside world and English lessons are the backbone of this skillset.
I am a very proud member of the Senior Leadership Team at Padgate Academy and I firmly believe that we deliver a first class education to our students
