At Padgate Academy, we aim to support your child throughout year 11, helping them get ready for their important exams while also encouraging them to stay well and healthy.
Our parent information evening takes place on 25th September 2025, and we address topics such as revision techniques, staying healthy and maximising your chances of success. You can find further details on this event below. There will be a Year 11 Progress Evening in January.
Please contact the relevant subject teacher, your child's Form Tutor or the Exams Officer, Mrs Lucas on slucas@padgateacademy.co.uk if you need any further advice or assistance. We will always endeavour to respond promptly.
You will find further information below to help you support your son/daughter. Students should start revising early – the resources they make for the mock exams in October/November and again in January/February can be stored and used again. Revision for the main GCSEs should start (at the latest) in January, to give time and reduce pressure.
Helpful revision tips can be found in the documents below..
Ofqual has published a student guide, Coping with exam pressure, developed with Professor Dave Putwain, a former college teacher and now at Liverpool John Moores University.
