The learning of all students is complimented by a range of extra-curricular clubs, trips, visits and guest speakers to enhance our students learning experiences.
All of which work towards the development of a wide range of interpersonal skills which prepare our students for life after Year 11.
Ebacc (English Baccalaureate)
The Ebacc is a suite of subjects, which are acknowledged as a highly academic combination. These subjects include:
· English Language and Literature
· Mathematics
· Sciences
· Humanities - Geography / History
· Language
The Ebacc is looked upon favourably by colleges, universities and
employers as a series of subjects providing a strong basis for further study and the world of work.
The DfE (Department for Education) would like to see 90% of
students studying the Ebacc by 2025.
What does this mean for our students?
To ensure our students have the best access to opportunities and
can compete with other people in an ever-changing world,
most students will continue to study Humanities and a Language at KS4.
We believe this will allow our students to not only gain a wide
subject knowledge but will also make them more competitive in the world of work and beyond.
