Introducing Office365 Pro Plus for Free!

We are incredibly pleased to announce that all students and staff at Padgate Academy can now get the full Microsoft Office 365 Professional Plus suite for FREE on up to 5 personal devices.

As well as access to online versions of Office 365 products and 1TB of FREE OneDrive storage.
The Office 365 Professional Plus scheme provides students and staff with a free subscription of Microsoft Office for use on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.  Included within the subscription are all of the standard Office apps, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, plus many more..

To login to Office 365 ProPlus services, you will need: 

• Your username, for example, 19abcxyz@padgateacademy.co.uk
• Your school computer password

Your username is made up of your school login, for example, ‘19abcxyz’, followed by ‘@padgateacademy.co.uk’. While Office 365 tools are handy for quick edits and word processing, you may want access to the full features of the desktop version of Office while working from home.

To download and install Office 365 ProPlus on your Mac or PC, please follow these steps: 

1. Login to Office 365 by visiting https://www.outlook.com/padgateacademy.co.uk with your school email address and computer password.
2. Once logged in, click on your name at the top right corner of the screen and choose View Account.
3. Scroll down and in the  Office Apps section, press Manage.
4. Click the Install Office button.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions by clicking to Run the installer. The installation will begin and after a few minutes, you can start using Office.
6. When you launch Office for the first time, you will need to activate it – click on Sign In and then enter your username and password to Sign in.

One of the additional benefits of Office 365 ProPlus is that it enables the use of Office Mobile for iOS and Android. The apps are available to download for free via the various stores (Apple App Store and Google Play). Once Office 365 has been downloaded to your mobile device, you simply login with your username and password to activate and get started.

There are some important points to note, however: 

• Office 365 ProPlus is provided to you free but without support, guarantee or warranty by either Microsoft or Padgate Academy.
• Office 365 ProPlus is provided by Microsoft for as long as the student attends Padgate Academy or staff member is employed by Padgate Academy and subject to the school continuing to license its software via the Microsoft Enrolment for Education Scheme / use of the Office 365 for Education systems.
• Once a student or staff member leaves Padgate Academy, you will have the opportunity to keep using the software by paying for a license directly from Microsoft.
• You are subject to the Microsoft Terms and Conditions / Privacy Policy and the Padgate Academy ICT Acceptable Use Policy.
• Office 365 ProPlus is licensed only to the student or staff member. Any attempt to transfer copies of this software or the privileges associated with the school network account to anyone other than the student or staff member may result in the account being suspended and further disciplinary action being taken.
• Neither Microsoft nor Padgate Academy will accept any claim for loss or damage as a result of you installing this software on your home computers; you do so entirely at your own risk.
• Padgate Academy IT Staff are not able to assist you with either installation or fault finding beyond the provision of this document.  We cannot work on your home PC’s, Laptops, or other mobile devices.
