Coronavirus advice & information

Face Coverings

From Tuesday, 22nd September 2020, Warrington is classed as an area of national government intervention.

Therefore, this means that face coverings must be worn in corridors and communal areas from Tuesday, 22nd September 2020.

Essentially, when students are in the building or moving around on school grounds they must wear one. If the students are inside at break or lunch buying food they have to wear one.

The only time that a student will not be required to wear a face covering is in lessons or when they are sat down inside eating. The moment they stand up to move around, a face covering must be worn.

They will not be required to wear one outside playing during break and lunch. This unfortunately is not a choice, (unless exempt) it is mandatory.  Staff will be observing the same rules.

You can view a copy of the letter sent to all parents by visiting  https://bit.ly/3iRyEJD

Some individuals are exempt from wearing a face covering for medical or other reasons.  If your child is exempt on medial grounds, please complete the form below:

Free School Meal Vouchers

Update from Edenred - 27 Apr 2020

  • Update from EdenredNew supermarkets coming on board - Aldi eGift cards are now available for parents/ carers to redeem as of today (27th April).   McColls will be joining from Wednesday this week (29th April) and can be spent in McColls and Martin’s stores
  • Expiry dates for eCodes - The expiry date for all new eCodes being sent from today will now be 4 months after the delivery date.

24 Apr 2020 - Update from Edenred - Queuing system

  • Due to exceptional demand, we have implemented a queuing system on the ordering website. This is to control the amount of traffic on the website at any one time in order to improve the user experience for everyone and speed up the ordering process once past the queue.
  • Please note it can take up to an hour to enter the website, but this can vary during peak and off-peak hours. For a shorter queuing time, we recommend trying outside of peak hours or days, which is between 10am and 5pm, and on Mondays.

Free School Meal Vouchers Explained

  • Up to the end of the Easter half term, Padgate Academy issued Free School Meal vouchers directly to parents/carers with an entitlement.  From 20th April 2020, this will be funded by DFE and vouchers will be sent directly from their online system (Edenred) to the email address we have registered for you.  The value of the voucher is set by the DFE at £15 each week, per child.
  • From 20th April 2020, all parents/carers with an entitlement to Free School Meals will receive an email each week from Edenred containing an eCode.  You’ll need this code to redeem for an eGift card for a supermarket of your choosing (your email will provide a step by step guide on how to do this).
  • Some cards can be spent online and in-store, but some can only be spent in-store so please check carefully before ordering.
  • IMPORTANT - You cannot take your a 16-digit eCode and take this into supermarkets to try and spend them. Supermarkets cannot accept eCodes, parents must first exchange them online for supermarket eGift cards.

What if I dont have an email address?

  • For parents/carers who do not have an email address or have not provided it to the school, we will contact you directly to arrange delivery/collection of your voucher.

Frequently Asked Questions and Instructions for Redeeming your eCode

  • We have included a few guides below for you, including an FAQ provided by DFE and instructions on how to redeem your eCode for an eGift that can be spent with the retailer.
  • We recommend all parents/carers with a current entitlement to read these guides as they explain the process and what to do if you have problems redeeming your eGift card.
