How to access work if learning remotely due to COVID-19

First Class Teaching & Learning Online – Padgate Academy 2020-21 (Spring)

We will do whatever it takes to ensure our students continue to excel in their studies whilst learning online.

Teachers will:

  1. Expect all students to attend and participate in their timetabled sessions.
  2. Support and monitor the online learning of their tutees.
  3. Broadcast and record all lessons live via ZOOM. Pre-recorded lessons are acceptable when this may not be feasible.
  4. Upload all recorded lessons and resources onto TEAMS for students to access.
  5. Continue to deliver lessons following the Padgate lesson structure:  Retrieval > New knowledge > Independent Practice > Examine Understanding
  6. Follow agreed safeguarding measures. (Refer to guidance)
  7. Expect work to be submitted for assessment and feedback. (In line with departmental expectations)
  8. Use school email to regularly communicate with students.

Students must:

  1. Follow their daily timetable including; Registration (AM/PM) and all lessons. When this is not possible, they must access recorded lessons and resources on TEAMS.
  2. Use the ZOOM codes for their teachers to access their sessions. (on website)
  3. Fully participate in all sessions, completing work to the best of their ability by following teacher instructions, taking pride in their work.
  4. Follow behavioural expectations set out by their teachers.
  5. Submit the required work to be assessed and respond to feedback given.
  6. Contact their form tutor via email if they require any support.

Parents/Carers should:

  1. Ensure their child fully participates in their timetabled online learning.
  2. Check that their child has submitted all required work for their lessons.
  3. Email their child’s Form Tutor if they require any academic support or Pastoral Leader for any other reason.
  4. Tell us how we can improve further to ensure their child excels.
